This individual has successfully completed the IEEE Communications Society Three-Course Series on Advanced Topics in Wireless. This training gives an in-depth review of topics from the major areas of 5G New Radio (NR), Machine Type Communications (MTC) and Open RAN (O-RAN), including: 5G System Architecture, 5G RAN Architecture and Splitting Options, 5G/NR Air Interface, 5G RAN Technology Enablers, 5G Core and Service Based Architecture, Network Slicing, Cellular Internet of Things, massive MTC, Ultra Reliable Low Latency MTC, UAV and V2X Communications, Open RAN motivation, O-RAN Standardization and Architecture, O-RAN Controllability, AI/ML in O-RAN, RAN Virtualization and O-RAN hardware and software aspects. A total of 24 hours of instruction was completed for this course program.
